Evaluation: When to revisit work, what will be measure of success in psychosocial intervention
MONITORING AND EVALUATION:
· Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) should be based on participatory approaches. We should discuss all aspect of M&E with the beneficiaries as part of program cycle, including discussion of results and their implications
· Indicators should be defined based on the objective of the program and take into consideration what is important and feasible in the emergency situation.
· Type of indicators: process, satisfaction, and outcome

Ensure that project implemented is culturally sensitive: important to get to know the actual condition of community (as outsider)

Work with local resources (authorities, community) on the following process:

· Identification of traditional care for separated and unaccompanied children in the community


· Identification of traditional healing process
· Identification of professional/local NGO who have experience to conduct psychosocial program










· Community based CP care works under the coordination of community/religious leaders and local institutions

· Appropriate psychosocial support are provided in secured venues (based on discussion with community)
Satisfaction

· Identification of community roles in project implementation, including participation in M&E Team

· Community M&E members conducted regular FGD with different groups (females, males and children) supported by program officer

Outcome
Work with community to identify SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Bond)


· How’s the change in the life of the children and the community

· Project implemented is culturally sensitive and do no harm to participated parties

· Children are secured and their basic needs are fulfilled


· Evaluation should be done based on the initial agreement with the community (eg. monthly FGD, quarterly evaluation meeting and end of project evaluation)
